Irregulars keep Strollers at bay

Last Sunday saw another frustrating loss, this time to the Highgate Irregulars. We batted first but despite another good knock from Spencer (69) and several promising starts from the rest of the order unfortunately the innings never really caught fire. Only a 50+ late order stand between Harry (making a very welcome return to the ranks) and the skipper — who posted a career best 18 not out — enabled us to get over 200.

In response, the Irregulars made steady work of knocking off the runs required hampered only by a good spell from Rob 3-28 and a couple of handy run outs. However opener Ullah hit a hundred and with good support from Mitchell (60) the target was comfortably reached with three overs to spare.
