We made a valiant attempt to knock off 245 from 35 overs yesterday but fell 15 runs short. Yet again, we had a team on the run in the field only to succumb to a Jafa. At 90 for 8 it looked like a certain win, but a 151-run 9th wicket partnership (in which the junior partner made just 4 runs) gave us a rather larger than anticipated total to chase.

Well done to Simon Boughey for a very economical 3 for, and to the batting line up for putting together a good total in fast-fading light
