Strollers fall short against Old Finchleians

Our winning streak sadly came to an end last night with a narrow defeat away to the Old Finchleians in last night's T20. Having dismissed the oppo for a modest 142-9, thanks mainly to a couple of sharp run outs and a superb four-fer collected by débutant Shayaan, we then struggled in our response.

Despite a solid start from Davie C – promoted to open our innings – who top scored with 28, and a further 26 added by Shayaan, nobody managed to kick into third gear and in the end we closed just 12 runs shy of our target. Let's hope for better fortune when we take on the London Erratics this weekend.
