Strollers suffer Shakespearean tragedy with another heavy defeat at Ferme Park
posted: May 13, 2018
Faced with a much changed team compared with the Shakespeare XI that we soundly defeated last season, the tables were well and truly turned today at Ferme Park when we were roundly trounced by a whopping 222 run margin.
As with last week's match, the oppo capitalised on the spongy surface and short boundaries to notch up an immense 345-4, to which we could only stumble to 123 in response. The highlight of the afternoon was the happy re-appearance of Simon 'SiBo' Boughey who had crossed the Atlantic to play ...only to pick up a nasty blow to the shin off his own bowling as his reward in addition to a single wicket. Not a great day at the office then, better things will surely come as we search for our first win of the season. Full match report to follow...
