Strollers see off Martian attack with big win

The Strollers happily returned to winning ways today with a convincing inter-planetary victory over recently rediscovered foes, the Martians! With the welcome return of both Harsh and Jez to the side, along with NLCC 1st elevener Roshit Terrakoon, there was newfound zest in the performance which saw us pile on 280-6 with Spencer leading the charge with another fine knock of 84, well supported by a 99 opening stand between Roshit (52) and Harsh (33), and a good knock from Gav (43).

In response, the Martians for a while threatened to match the requisite run rate of 8 per over but a much better fielding display than those of recent weeks saw catches taken and wickets shared around the attack to dismiss the oppo who were still over 100 runs adrift of the target. A thoroughly satisfying win which we can hopefully kick on from.
