October starts with double defeat to Bohos

The 2013 season ended with a whimper yesterday as a patchwork Strollers side were sadly outplayed by a stronger Battersea Bohemains XI in the now traditional friendly season finale consisting firstly of a T20 contest followed by a 15 over-per-side thrash at Highgate CC.

The first match was a thoroughly one-sided affair with the Bohos posting a meaty total of over 170 (despite 4 well taken wickets from Spencer) that we barely came in reach of 100 runs of threatening. In the second game we made a better fist of it, restricting the oppo to 101-7 but the threadbare batting order we had at our disposal was again exposed and in response we came up some 25 runs short.
