It was third time lucky when we Strollers notched up our first victory of the season at North London CC on a sunny if blustery May Day Sunday. A persistent effort from the whole side saw the Highgate Irregulars dismissed for 185 — a target which we had no trouble in reaching.

Special mention must go to Man Of The Match Graeme whose magnificent knock of 81 not out was topped only by his splendid 5 for with the ball earlier in the day! Gav too continued his fine early season form with the bat, hitting a power ful 40 and, with Graeme, posted a 93 run opening partnership that steered the side into a winning position. Spencer then joined Graeme for the finale, blasting a quickfire 22 not out that took his side to victory. Congratulations to all involved!
