Fildes fell in love with the game at an early age, but alas the passion was unrequited. Undeterred by a lack of real talent, he was introduced to the Strollers by Reverend Clive "Clipper" Horwood.

Performances have declined with the introduction of a long-term relationship followed by marriage. Has enjoyed a successful if somewhat unlikely opening partnership with Kieron Smith. Highlights so far include a century against Chippenham and a five wicket haul against Irish team Malahide.
