Making his début as one of a slew of new Strollers in the 2016 season, Sam A quickly made a name for himself as a jovial member of our merry men. With initially mixed and expensive fortunes with the ball delaying his first wicket until somewhere mid-season, his luck soon turned around as he found new and impressive ways to dismiss batsmen including, at Chippenham, the never-before-seen 'slow bouncer' that helped him on his way to collecting an impressive (if unexpected) 4-28. Demonstrating also a lusty appetite to spank the ball around as a lower-middle order batsman we can confidently say that we look forward to even more fireworks from Big Sam in the years ahead.
