Perhaps the first genuine challenge to Matt Morgan in the stakes to be the Strollers' first choice glovesman, Dave 'the kitten' Couldrey first appeared in club colours in 2007. Fresh from Leeds Uni, Couldrey made an instant impression with his quickfire reactions and dedication to never allow an oppo batsman to get too comfortable outside of his crease (or in it for that matter with some well directed sledging applied in good measure). Also a very promising batsman with an impressive array of attacking strokes, Couldrey would offer almost the complete package did he not have the irritating penchant of trotting around the globe for months at a time which occasionally makes his availability for selection for Sunday matches problematic. Some sort of ASBO or restraining order should surely apply here, no?
